Music Programs At Jackson State University

Jackson State University is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The following degrees are offered by the Department:

• Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) with concentrations in vocal music, instrumental music, keyboard, and Jazz
• Bachelor of Music (B.M.) with concentrations in performance (vocal, instrumental, and keyboard), church music, and music technology
• Masters of Music Education (M.M.E.) with concentrations in elementary, secondary (choral instrumental or general emphasis), junior college or comprehensive music education
• Masters of Music (M.M.) with concentrations in performance (vocal, instrumental, and keyboard), church music, conducting (band , choral, and orchestral)
